Two years ago, Foursquare debuted at South by Southwest. And this year, they will release version 3.0 of their app for iPhone & Android again in the streets of Austin. They will most likely use the Mashable interview with Dennis Crowley as the vehicle for announcing it. Next week will be a fun week for Foursquare.
In addition to the 3.0 App, Foursquare will be announcing a partnership with American Express and a new Amex App called Social Currency which runs over top of Foursquare's check-in engine.
Of course, it wouldn't be SXSW without a plethora of Limited edition badges and this year Foursquare is planning to release 18 of them! So far, no details have been released about the badges.
